The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access website SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The assistance issue created for intervention experiences a higher influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
